Public Release — Warren County Sheriff’s Office Equips Patrol Vehicles with Life ‑Saving AEDs
DATE: July 12, 2023
Front Royal, VA — The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that every patrol vehicle is now equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED). With deputies often being the first responders to medical emergencies such as heart attacks, having AEDs in patrol vehicles can be the difference between life and death.
When a person experiences cardiac arrest, seconds count. A deputy who is properly trained and equipped to handle a medical emergency can seamlessly hand off care to medical professionals without missing a beat, keeping the patient’s heart pumping. This initiative ensures that the right equipment is in the right place at the right time, providing our community with a critical tool for life-saving measures.
Law Enforcement personnel frequently arrive on scene before emergency medical teams or paramedics when 911 is called. By having AEDs in every patrol vehicle, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office aims to enhance its ability to provide rapid assistance during medical emergencies and ultimately save more lives.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to protecting and serving our community through exceptional public safety services. Our commitment to maintaining strong relationships with residents and visitors helps us create a safer county for all.
Warren County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the elected members of the Board of Supervisors and county resident, Mr. Todd Lupton for advancing the lifesaving capabilities of our deputies.
