Front Roy­al, VA — The War­ren Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce impor­tant changes in its lead­er­ship team to bet­ter serve our com­mu­ni­ty. These appoint­ments will help strength­en our com­mit­ment to main­tain­ing safe­ty, uphold­ing the law, and pro­tect­ing the cit­i­zens of War­ren County.

We are pleased to announce that Lieu­tenant Collins has been appoint­ed as the new Oper­a­tions Cap­tain. In this role, Cap­tain Collins will be respon­si­ble for over­see­ing var­i­ous aspects of our day-to-day oper­a­tions, includ­ing resource man­age­ment, plan­ning, and over­all oper­a­tional effi­cien­cy. Cap­tain Collins brings a wealth of expe­ri­ence and exper­tise to his new posi­tion, ensur­ing smooth oper­a­tions and the effec­tive use of resources.

First Sergeant Phillips has also been pro­mot­ed to Patrol Lieu­tenant. As Patrol Lieu­tenant, Phillips will man­age and coor­di­nate the activ­i­ties of our patrol units. He will ensure con­sis­tent and effec­tive enforce­ment of laws and respond prompt­ly to inci­dents. Lever­ag­ing his exten­sive knowl­edge of law enforce­ment best prac­tices, Lieu­tenant Phillips will lead patrol teams ded­i­cat­ed to build­ing trust between our office and the com­mu­ni­ty we serve.

Addi­tion­al­ly, Cap­tain Mumaw has been appoint­ed to the posi­tion of Major. Major Mumaw now serves as Chief Deputy for the War­ren Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office. In this capac­i­ty, he over­sees all divi­sions with­in the office to ensure seam­less com­mu­ni­ca­tion, coor­di­na­tion, oper­a­tions, and mat­ters relat­ed to ethics, account­abil­i­ty, and con­duct with­in our office. Major Mumaw’s proven lead­er­ship skills and ded­i­ca­tion will fur­ther strength­en the effec­tive­ness of our office in serv­ing the public.
