Warren County Sheriff’s Office Announces Key Leadership Appointments and Promotions

Front Royal, VA — The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce important changes in its leadership team to better serve our community. These appointments will help strengthen our commitment to maintaining safety, upholding the law, and protecting the citizens of Warren County.
We are pleased to announce that Lieutenant Collins has been appointed as the new Operations Captain. In this role, Captain Collins will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our day-to-day operations, including resource management, planning, and overall operational efficiency. Captain Collins brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position, ensuring smooth operations and the effective use of resources.
First Sergeant Phillips has also been promoted to Patrol Lieutenant. As Patrol Lieutenant, Phillips will manage and coordinate the activities of our patrol units. He will ensure consistent and effective enforcement of laws and respond promptly to incidents. Leveraging his extensive knowledge of law enforcement best practices, Lieutenant Phillips will lead patrol teams dedicated to building trust between our office and the community we serve.
Additionally, Captain Mumaw has been appointed to the position of Major. Major Mumaw now serves as Chief Deputy for the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. In this capacity, he oversees all divisions within the office to ensure seamless communication, coordination, operations, and matters related to ethics, accountability, and conduct within our office. Major Mumaw’s proven leadership skills and dedication will further strengthen the effectiveness of our office in serving the public.
