PRESS RELEASE — DONATION |
Sheriff’s Office Receives a Donation of Sharps Containers.
Front Royal, VA – On December 20, 2022, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that we received a gracious donation of 100 sharps containers and 35 mounts from the Warren Memorial Foundation. By receiving this donation, the sheriff’s office will be able to install a sharps container in a safe location in our patrol vehicles to give a safe place to dispose of a sharp or biohazardous object that a deputy may encounter that is not of evidential value. Having these sharps containers will increase the deputy’s safety to have a safe place to dispose of these sharp and biohazardous items while reducing costs by no longer needing to purchase individual containers for each item that is not evidence. Also, this will reduce landfill waste. We would like to thank the Warren Memorial Foundation for funding this project and Valley Health’s Warren Memorial Hospital Pharmacy for obtaining the sharps containers/mounts and their continued support. It’s through these partnerships that together WE can make the difference.
