Emergency Communications

Ensur­ing con­sis­tent and unwa­ver­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion, espe­cial­ly dur­ing emer­gen­cies, is vital. The Emer­gency Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Divi­sion oper­ates tire­less­ly around the clock, 24 hours a day and sev­en days a week, to main­tain this cru­cial lifeline.

Our respon­si­bil­i­ties include:

  • Call Pro­cess­ing: Effi­cient­ly han­dling both emer­gency and non-emer­gency calls for ser­vice (CFS).
  • Pri­or­i­ti­za­tion & Dis­patch: Pri­or­i­tiz­ing incom­ing calls and prompt­ly dis­patch­ing rel­e­vant ser­vices to address them.
  • Coor­di­na­tion with Local Ser­vices: We serve as the cen­tral hub for dis­patch­ing calls to the War­ren Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office and War­ren Coun­ty Fire & Rescue.
  • 911 Call Han­dling: We are the pri­ma­ry point of con­tact for all 911 emer­gen­cies with­in both the Coun­ty of War­ren and the Town of Front Royal.

The divi­sion’s exem­plary per­for­mance is steered under the guid­ance of a lieu­tenant and a ded­i­cat­ed dis­patch director.
