Drug Bust Ensues Following Routine Traffic Stop

Front Royal – On October 3, 2023, at around 11:30 pm, Deputy Ulibarri observed a vehicle having difficulty maintaining its lane on North Shenandoah Avenue. The vehicle was first seen crossing the fog line and then making an overcorrection, which led it to cross over the center divider line. Suspecting that the driver might be under the influence, Deputy Ulibarri promptly initiated a traffic stop at 1724 North Shenandoah Avenue.

In collaboration with Sergeant Gregory and canine partner Roman, a free air sniff was conducted around the vehicle which led to a positive alert for narcotics. Consequently, a thorough search of the vehicle and its occupants was undertaken, revealing a significant amount of illegal substances and paraphernalia. The seized items included approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of heroin, 10 Suboxone patches, and various other narcotic-related items.

As a result of these findings, two individuals from Front Royal were arrested and charged with multiple offenses. Ms. Racheal D. Huntt faces charges including two counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I or II narcotic, possession of Schedule III narcotics, and possession of controlled paraphernalia.

Mr. Cristan Blow has been charged with possession of Schedule I or II narcotics and possession of Schedule III narcotics. The communication and teamwork between the deputy and the canine unit exemplify professionalism and dedication to keeping our streets safe from such illicit activities.
