DEA National Drug Take Back Day

Date of Next Event: Octo­ber 28th, 2023 — 10AM to 2PM

The War­ren Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office along with Val­ley Health, will be par­tic­i­pat­ing in the DEA Nation­al Drug Take Back Day. Drug Take Back Day is usu­al­ly held in the spring and autumn each year for those munic­i­pal­i­ties who wish to par­tic­i­pate in pro­vid­ing a safe, con­ve­nient and anony­mous means of dis­pos­ing of pre­scrip­tion drugs.  Cit­i­zens who wish to get rid of their unused, expired or unwant­ed med­ica­tions are encour­aged to drop them off as they dri­ve into the col­lec­tion site where agency rep­re­sen­ta­tives will receive them.  Should you have any ques­tions, con­tact the War­ren Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office at 540–635‑4128.

If you unable to make this date and have unwant­ed pre­scrip­tions that need to be dis­posed of you can call your local phar­ma­cy to see if they will accept them. If you only have a cou­ple of unwant­ed pre­scrip­tions you may come to the Sher­if­f’s Office to pick up a free DETERRA drug deac­ti­va­tion sys­tem pouch from our lob­by.
